Effective value addition achieved through standardization of work processes and reduction of waste is in the center of this management approach. A high level of customer orientation and the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes result in a resource-saving and cost-effective product.
In the foreground of this method coming from lean management is on acting with up-to-date information at the point of production in order to react promptly to unforeseen events. The development of systematic problem solving at the point of origin of the events is promoted as well as direct communication with all parties involved.
The focus here is on the horizontal and vertical networking of people with intelligent machines and smart objects. The combination of information and communication technology is a central component of this fourth stage of development in modern production, which makes it possible to create value in real time.
OUR VISION OF DIGITAL PRODUCTION
Our solution for the requirements of digitizing all areas of a production facility is called LISA (Lean Industrial Solutions & Applications). At its core, it maps a store floor management system (boards, key figures, graphs) that is usually also used in an analog version of this lean method. This central control element in manufacturing is transferred to the digital world at the point of value creation.
